Jaume Ripoll

Founder of Filmin

Jaume Ripoll (Palma de Mallorca, 1977) is a producer and screenwriter, co-founder, editorial and development manager at Filmin, co-founder and editorial manager at the distribution company Cameo and founder and director of the Atlántida Film Fest, the first film festival hosted entirely on the Internet.  

After graduating in filmmaking at ESCAC (University of Barcelona), he began his career as a documentary and video clip filmmaker, combining this with his work as a columnist for newspapers and magazines.

Ripoll has been jury member at different national and international film festivals and guest lecturer at the UAB, UB, UPF, ESCAC, Carlos III and Camilo José Cela universities, as well as Director of the Online Distribution MBA of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

As exective producer, he has launched different titles, such as Ojos Negros the latest winner of the Málaga Film Festival, or Agustí Villaronga’s latest production, El ventre del mar. He has also participated in the script for Alejandro Marzoa’s film Somos gente honrada.
