Martin Valdés-Stauber is a playwright, sociologist, and actor. After graduating in Sociology and Economics in Germany, he focused on researching migration phenomena and urban sociology at Berkeley and Cambridge Universities. He teaches these subjects at Zeppelin University (Germany).

In 2018, he conceived and coordinated the project X Shared Spaces, an exploration of 24 artists across Munich in search of new forms of coexistence. He also has been researching the biographies of those who were persecuted under the Nazi regime among Kammerspiele employees in the long-term project Schicksale, together with Janne and Klaus Weinzierl. He has been leading the artistic research area Erinnerung als Arbeit an der Gegenwart since 2021.
