Miqui Otero (Barcelona, 1980) made his name in 2010 with his acclaimed first novel Hilo musical (Alpha Decay), which received the FNAC New Talent Prize. Two years later he published La cápsula del tiempo in Blackie Books, which was chosen as book of the year by Rockdelux and has sold more than 10,000 copies.
He teaches journalism and literature at the UAB and is a frequent contributor to the media, such as El País and La Vanguardia.
He has participated in collective essays such as Una risa nueva (Nausícaä, 2010) and CT o la cultura de la transición (Random House Mondadori, 2012), and also the collections of stories Última temporada (Lengua de Trapo, 2013), which is a selection of the work of the latest generation of Spanish authors.
Rayos (Blackie Books, 2016) established his position as one of the most outstanding avant-garde authors in 21st century Spanish literature. His latest novel is Simón (Blackie Books, 2020).
