Montse Serrano (Barcelona, 1955) is a bookseller and has a degree in information science. After finishing school, she did not miss the opportunity to take over the Bernat bookshop, in her neighbourhood. She has managed the bookshop since 1978.
In 2011, she received the Best Commercial Initiative in Innovation Award, from the Catalonian government and FIDEM, for being a female entrepreneur, in 2013.
She is co-author, along with Isabel de Villalonga, of the publication Barcelona en silla de ruedas: Una guía accesible de la ciudad (Alba Editorial, 2005).
In 2013, she founded her own publishing label (Edicions +Bernat). One of the many books she has published is Todo pasa en la calle Buenos Aires (2019), about her experience as a bookseller after 40 years in the business.
