Patricio Pron (Argentina, 1975) earned a doctorate in Romance Studies from the University of Göttingen, Germany. He now lives in Madrid.
His work has received numerous awards, including the Juan Rulfo Short Story Prize for Es el realismo (in El mundo sin las personas que lo afean y lo arruinan. Mondadori, 2009), the Jaén Prize and the Alfaguara Prize. He has been translated into a dozen languages and published by some of the most prestigious publishers in the world.
In 2010 the English magazine Granta chose him as one of the twenty-two best writers of his generation.
His latest published works are Mañana tendremos otros nombres (Alfaguara, 2019), which received the Alfaguara Prize in 2019; and Trayéndolo todo de regreso a casa (Alfaguara, 2021), an anthology of his short stories written from 1990 to 2020.
