Rosa Montero

Writer and Journalist

Rosa Montero (Madrid, 1951) is a graduate of the Escuela Superior de Periodismo of Madrid. Since 1970 she has contributed to a variety of media outlets and since 1976 she has worked for the daily El País.

Her career has been recognised with multiple awards, including the Premio Mundo de Entrevistas in 1978, the National Literary Journalism Prize in 1980, the Prize of the Madrid Press Association for her professional career in 2005 and the National Literature Award in 2017.

He latest novels are: Lágrimas en la lluvia (Seix barral, 2011), La ridícula idea de no volver a verte (Seix Barral, 2013), El peso del corazón (Seix Barral, 2015), La carne (Alfaguara, 2016), Los tiempos del odio (Seix Barral, 2018), La buena suerte (Alfaguara, 2020) and El peligro de estar cuerda (Seix Barral, 2022).

Her books are translated into over twenty languages.
