Organising
Committee
Spain’s participation as Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2022 is a State project, which transcends the publishing sector and Spanish literature to become an instrument of cultural projection. In order to guarantee its success, the Ministry of Culture and Sport has made a commitment to Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH to create an Organising Committee responsible for the development and coordination of the activities related to this celebration.
Under the Honorary Presidency of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, this Committee is a collegiate inter-ministerial body attached to the Ministry of Culture and Sport and chaired by the Minister, Miquel Iceta. It has an Executive Committee made up of representatives of the public institutions involved in the project, as well as people of recognised prestige in the field of the Committee’s functions. In addition, a Technical Commission has been set up to manage the programme of tax benefits corresponding to this event of exceptional public interest.

Incentives
The project Spain Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair is considered an event of exceptional public interest for the purposes of article 27 of Law 49/2002, of 23 December, on the tax regime for non-profit organisations and tax incentives for patronage.
